TEAM METROROCK

Our dedicated youth climbing teams train 2 or 3 days a week under the supervision of experienced and caring coaches. Young athletes develop the skills, discipline and enthusiasm required to achieve their goals in bouldering, sport and speed climbing - indoors and out! Weekday gym practices balance climbing workouts with supplementary strength, mental and performance training. We spend weekends climbing as a team at local outdoor crags and USAC competitions.

MetroRock Competitive teams are for climbers with prior rock climbing team and/or competition experience.  If you’re an experienced competition climber, or serious about becoming one, please reach out to Head Coach Derek@Metrorock.com for more information.

Financial Assistance

We are passionate about making our Climbing Teams accessible and inclusive for all - especially those who have traditionally been represented in the climbing community. We offer two tiers of financial assistance for teams and youth programming.

Embrace the challenge

Without challenge we fail to grow! Every climb presents a new opportunity explore movement to solve a puzzle . Practices are designed to incorporate age appropriate challenges while encouraging dialogue about struggle, growth, tactics and mindset.

Live with conviction

Climbing drills teach athletes to move intentionally on the wall, coaches encourage athletes to make choices to live intentionally beyond the gym! Our training curriculum helps youth athletes develop the passion, discipline and introspection required to achieve big goals.

Support your community

The connections made while pushing your comfort zone in a supportive team setting go deeper than nearly every other. Our team environment encourages mentorship across a wide range of age and ability. Team athletes are key members of the MetroRock community.
