We are excited to become part of the amazing Salt Pump Crew! Big changes mean big questions! Here is some of what we know moving forward.
Memberships: Existing monthly memberships will remain active, though pricing will be adjusted and lowered as needed to match Salt Pump rates. Members will get full access to all Salt Pump locations starting October 1, 2026. Memberships will no longer be valid at other Metrorock locations starting Oct 1.
Anyone whose rates are lower than Salt Pump’s current rates will have their current membership rate honored. If you are looking to cancel your membership please visit the membership tab of our website.

If you have a monthly membership where payment is not based out of Newburyport and you want to transfer it here.
If you have a monthly membership where payment is based out of Newburyport that you want transferred to another location.
If you have a prepaid membership purchased at another MetroROCK location or a prepaid memberships purchased in Newburyport you would like transferred to another MetroROCK location.
Programs: There will be no immediate changes to programs, including youth teams and after-school programs.
New waivers and busy first few days: All customers, including members, will have to sign new waivers beginning on Oct 1. These waivers will be applicable to all other Salt Pump facilities – i.e., if you sign one at MetroRock, you don’t have to sign one at other Salt Pump facilities.
TR and Lead Certs: Whether MetroRock top-rope and lead certifications will be accepted at Salt Pump and vice-versa is TBD and will be updated here as soon as we have determined this.
Punch cards, pre-paid memberships, and gift cards: Any existing punch cards and pre-paid memberships, sold in Newburyport can be used at all Salt Pump facilities after October 1. Gift cards will also continue to be valid but can only be used in Newburyport.
Staff: All your favorite folks from desk, camp, events, coaching, and other staff will be there on and after October 1.
Routesetting: Our amazing team of setters will continue to bring you some of the greatest routesetting around with no planned changes to our setting schedules or distributions.
Guest Passes: Members will still have one guest pass every calendar month
Hours of Operations: Hours of operation will remain the same.
