Gym to Crag Series

Guided days with a focus on instruction, translating indoor experience to outdoor proficiency.

Learning focused day of top rope climbing. Understand the differences between gym and outdoor top rope climbing.

A full day course designed to teach indoor lead climbers everything they need to know to confidently transition to sport climbing outdoors. Hanging draws, establishing and cleaning anchors, and navigating the additional hazards of climbing outside.

A full day course designed to teach the foundational concepts of building and managing top rope anchor systems. Participants will learn to build safe, easy to use top rope systems utilizing fixed protection, and natural features.

A full day course designed to teach indoor boulderers the skills to boulder outside! Topics include spotting technique, pad placement, LNT principles and general ethics.

Specialty courses

Guided days with a focus on specific climbing skills.

A half day course designed to introduce climbers to the basics of rappelling. Rappelling is a foundational skill for outdoor climbers. Understand when and why it is most appropriate to rappel. Understand the risks associated with rappelling, and how to mitigate them through system and process management.

A full day course to teach basic rescue techniques to protect yourself and your partners. This course will introduce you to ascending, hauling, and load transfer techniques - vital skills for the passionate rock climber.

Learn how various forms of traditional protection work, how, and where to apply each. Identify and asses placements, understand potential modes of failure, and test placements in a controlled environment.
